About

A promise kept, one child at a time.

DacareGH was launched in Accra in 2022. We fund children's hospital bills, run weekly street outreach, and deliver basic needs kits to orphanages and rural schools across Ghana. Every cedi goes to a child. Nothing else, for now.

How it began

A foundation built on one belief.

The foundation was born from a simple conviction: that a child should never stay in a hospital bed because the bill is unpaid, and a child on the street should never go to bed hungry.

What started as one family settling a single hospital bill has become a rolling operation across two cities and a network of partner communities. We verify every case in person before a single cedi is released. Cases come to us through hospital social workers, community leaders, and referrals from families we have already served.

We are a small foundation by design. We stay small so the work stays close. Every program is for children. Every gift is recorded, receipted, and open to review. We publish an annual report each January with the full picture, no spin.

What we do

Three programs. All for children.

Hospital bill relief

Hospital bill relief

Clearing the bill. Walking the child home.

Children well enough to leave the ward often stay for weeks because a bill is unpaid. We verify the bill, settle what is owed, and are present at discharge so the family walks out that day.

Kumasi. Accra. Referrals nationwide.

Street children outreach

Street children outreach

A hot meal. A clean shirt. A safer night.

Weekly evening rounds for children sleeping rough. Hot food, hygiene kits, warm clothing on the same corners each week, and an honest first conversation about a way back for those who ask.

Kejetia and Adum. Circle and Kaneshie.

Basic needs and outreach

Basic needs and outreach

The everyday things a child should not have to ask for.

Monthly deliveries to orphanages, community halls, and rural schools. Food, soap, sanitary items, uniforms, and small comforts. Inventoried, handed over in person, revisited the next month.

Ashanti, Greater Accra, partner communities in the north.

The standard

What we promise you.

Every cedi goes to a child.

No overheads dressed up as impact. No photographs of faces we have not been given permission to share. Just the work, described plainly.

Records are public.

Receipts are kept. Annual reports are published each January. Anyone can verify a gift at any time using a signed receipt number.

Dignity is not optional.

If a program cannot be done with dignity, it is not done. We meet families where they are, not where it is convenient for us.

Since 2022

The work in three lines.

Hospital bills cleared

Case by case, verified in person, settled the same day.

Weekly street outreach

Hot meals and hygiene kits on the same corners each week.

Monthly outreach days

Basic needs kits delivered and revisited, every month.

Be part of it

Give. Volunteer. Spread the word.

Every gift, large or small, goes straight to a child. Every volunteer hour means someone is present when it matters. And every conversation you start brings another family closer to help.
